Ärende: Change of address with FCC

 RW> rIght,

I'll take that back. There is presently no cost for renewal or
modification. Just updated my email address.

RW> but it's the same for sequentials, any changes don't extend your
RW> expiration date, unless it's a change of call sign. I.e. Kathy

That is correct.

RW> yEah know what you mean. my sequential stunk for phonetics
RW> on phone, was fair for the code, but not near as good as
RW> this one. I like it, great cw rhythm and works good on
RW> phone so I'll pay for it again next year <g>.

The only sequential I had that was great with code was my Novice call -
WD6DOI...after I upgraded to General, I got N6AGT, which wasn't worth a
damn on either phone or code, while my test-mate buddy got AGX. When I
made Advanced, KB6PI was a bit better on phone and code, but 2x2 calls
stunk, IMO. I think K6RXT is very good on both methods.

 RW> <snip>

RW> YEah that does sound like a good one. Kathy's dad was a ww2 navy
RW> radioman in the pacific, and had a call sign before then, but after
RW> wife kids divorce etc. he let his lapse. We can find his wn0 call
RW> from once he got a novice call back in the late '70's again, which
RW> iirc got converted to a wd0 when he upgraded,

My 1970 original Novice call was WN6ABE...I let it expire and didn't get
back into radio until 1976...due to the same scenario as Kathy's dad.

RW> but we want to find his original and see if Kathy can get it under
RW> the vanity program. I've got a couple of qcwa guys poring over old
RW> call books from before they were put online looking for it, and if
RW> they get a hit then we'll have her apply for it if she's eligible.

Last I looked, you had to be an Extra to get those WN calls. Maybe that's
changed now.

Roy>> Last time I looked, K5RXT was available, but I would really hate to
Roy>> change it now. Maybe at renewal time I'll think about it.

RW> Can understand that. IT gets to be like your name after
RW> awhile, you get used to being called by it, and identifying
RW> yourself by it. Hard to change after awhile.

I don't have a problem with changing it, I just like it, since it's the
first call I've had that I do like.
