R55 is a technical entity only. From its conception it was made clear the RC55
and NC550 would only deal with nodelist-scribe tasks. They would not vote in
any kind of election nor referendum (at the time I was even accused by people
with an address in your zone of "nodelist-stuffing with 2 extra *C-positions"),
any complaint would also revert immediately to ZC-level. RC55 seemed to brush
that aside and seemed to get involved in policy-complaint matters which I
brushed away and reminded him about the special situation of R55. Then RC55 got
involved in the FTSC-election in his capacity of RC55 ... again he was informed
of the special status of R55.
 
Do not believe for one instant this man was uninformed.
 
Then a node was added to the R55-segment, 2:550/36 from Portugal. RC55/NC550
did not reply to any of the requests to have this guy inserted. So I did it
myself and eventually RC55/NC550 got him into his segment anyway, that way that
node would not be dropped when sending in a new segment.
 
Then 2:550/36 Bruno Anthunes tried unsuccessfully for months to get in touch
with RC55/NC550 to establish a link. When after a lot of elbowwork the link was
finally established no mail was received by 2:550/36, so he asked me to send a
routed-netmail myself to check the routing and almost immediately received this
automated response:

I brought this to RC55/NC550's attention with the mention that perhaps now
would be a good time to evaluate the status of R55 where-upon without further
discussion he resigned.

It seems I stretched way backward beyond the breaking point of my spine to
accomodate the guy and the only reasonable thing that could be said about this
fellah is that he was not doing his job. Still he wasn't fired ...
 
As a reminder, this is the same person who administered that famous R50
split-off poll, so how trustworthy would the results of thatone be?
