i'll have to try one and see what abuse does... are you using the latest
version, 1.5.0??

its not really a "group"... just a webforum and it has extremely little
traffic... i hadn't been by there in some six months or more and there were
only some 10 or 15 messages...

i agree that it is sad... it is also sad that folk have to wade about in the
wastelands and try to make them pretty yards with white picket fences... seems
to me, with the cheap price of real estate, that it'd be easier to build a new
house on new land that can be maintained from the getgo... (ie: start a comp.*
group instead of playing in the alt.* groups)...

one must stop and look at where one is playing... the alt.* groups are the
sewage of usenet... they always have been unless they are moderated and that's
few and far between when it comes to the alt.* groups... they were never
intended to be moderated but to offer an ALTernative place for groups to reside
until such time as they could meet the requirements of moving to one of the
other top level hierarchies like comp.* and such...

heck, you can't even remove a group from alt.* after you create it due to some
other buttwipe who recreates the groups that are rmgroup'd... this has been
going on in the alt.* groups since they were started...
