Ok and thanks!  I'm not adverse to checking Ubuntu (or was it Ubantu?) as well.

My needs are possibly a bit unique.  I have a 13yo (shortly will be 14) who
likes SuSe well.  She thinks it's cool to be different in at least a few ways
but she also needed WIN for her summer 'keep me current' school work and there
were no kids educational programs I ever found for *nix that compare with the
WIN bunches.

My husband is a total non-geek.  I havent figured out yet how to get him to
open an attachment in email under WIN yet with Outlook.  He's not up to being
able to forwarding an email.  I know this sounds very strange to hear
(especially in this echo!) but we all have our needs.

Don can handle email in SuSe but still has the same issues with attachments and
forwarding emails.  He's generally _unaware_ he's on SuSe except the games he
wants to play don't work and the background picture is different so he knows
to reboot to WIN if that happens (dual boot, defaults to WIN XP).

I could convert the main computer to SuSe totally and Don would never even know
it, if I could get his hunting and fishing games to run when he just tucks the
CD in.  Other than email to me when I am at sea, games are his only use for a
computer.

Now Charlotte?  Kid reads 'Unix Unleashed' and wrote a book report for english
class on it.  She was miffed until I got her the most current one.  She likes
Fedora.  She likes StarOffice 5.1.  She built a home radio station with orgami
folded tin foil over a wire structure that runs MP3 players among the kids and
she hacked the school WiFi to make it open the the main base housing which
when shut down, made the base install it as folks complained because it
stopped running.

Charlotte reminds me of Zenon.  She'll try anything.  (Zenon is a reference to
a movie with a kid who lives in the space station).
