Yep.  I noticed Douglas (ttylinux maintainer) has been doing chroot development
and his howto on the subject fits perfectly into my scheme. If you don't
already have a copy of that then I'll be happy to pass it along.

I've seen those advertised.  A bit pricey and I believe they use a mips
processor which is currently not supported by ttylinux.  To be honest I'd
prefer the ...

and add a wireless pci card, Atheros is currently the way to go.  A bit more
money but you get FAR more bang for the buck.  Also it is 64-bit. The LinkSys
is out of step with future as well as current possibilities but I suppose it
depends on what you really want out of all this networking stuff.

Same situation here.  However I lucked out with the latest one since it was
already tested by a local marina on their wireless network. I didn't follow
their lead as far as what software etc. but had the advantage of knowing
beforehand that it can be configured into AP mode. The kernel driver still
needs work but at least the madwifi one works for now.  Looks like there is a
future for it.

I hear ya!  Join the club.  In the meantime I suggest we get what you have
working 100%.  Same goes for me.

Yeppers!  One problem with the eeePC;  I seem to have lost sight of the onboard
flash drive.  Funny it worked on Paul's so I'll have to get him to bring it
over when he comes for coffee next time and see why there is a difference. 
Supposedly they are the same model other than his has a 4G onboard whereas this
one is a 2G.  On the plus side I see perl works. Got ttylinux booting from both
a usb flashdisk as well as a 2.5" 44-pin laptop drive on a usb adapter dealie.
