Aha.. I did also start doing Fidonet on a 386.. So replace XT by 386 :)

Ah yes, dependencies to GUI sucks. Sometimes you can't install deb packages
because they are compiled agianst the GUI, but they can run without. It's
a pain in the ass..

Yeah, but I bet most of the problems origins from closed-source software.
