So that you can choose the music you want to listen too, taking into 
consideration the time you have at your disposal, and then sitting back 
relaxing and enjoying your selection ...

Well, I don't think, mplayer is going to be much use in helping manage the 
choice of music you want to listen to, when you have 4 terabytes or more of 
music files online, via Network Accessable devices via SAMBA or NFS - mt-daapd 
and a few others deem it a requiremnt to have a mysql database to handle this, 
which thankfully mpd does not ... , and yes, I know people who have that much 
music in flac format available, and they all are users of MS WINXP ...

That does have merit, up to a point ...

Yeah, well, you have not ventured onto this playing field yet, and I want to 
stay away from SQL databases as long as possible ...
