It's most likely the only way I'm going to get back up to speed on this.

The IBM tower is heavy guage steel and perfectly laid out for
upgrade as it has the ideal spot for an upgraded power suppply.

What is eeepc?

Well I'm steering away from the Atom after some investigation
and the Xeon is well beyond my requirements.

By the time you've polished your 64 bit Linux I may have my system
upgraded to 64 bit dual core Athelon.

I'll have to look into fbi.

Knoppix 4.0 actually did that and I loved getting the local weather radar
from the command line links.

I'd be VERY interested in this!

I look for them regularly and am so far equally disappointed.

It'd be great if Biostar modifies it's mothrboard for USB 3.0 by the
time I can actually afford to buy it however I could just as easily
get along with an upgrade USB card.
