Ärende: take me down where the good stuff grows

Hello Maurice.

16 Nov 09 00:51, you wrote to me:

Maybe I should complain on the ttylinux forum ... <BEG>

Disabled the "quick" and "quiet" boot options in the BIOS and I see a message
"Initrd loading" so that is a good guess ... :-)

Hmmm ... , thinking about it, a ttylinux booting from the main 2gig. SSD disk,
and a eeebuntu type setup booting from a 16gig. SD Card, just might be the way
to go with this little baby ...

Not bad at all ...

The only thing attractive about a "bootable" iso, is t hat I have a utility
that writes it to a USB stick with very little effort this side ... :-))

So far, I have not touched the SSD, install everything onto a SD Card (4gig.)
and then select it at boot time from the BIOS, only have a 2gig. USB memory
stick, that I write the iso's to, with the above mentioned utility, and
install from there. I saw a very nice Transcend 500Gig 2.5 USB external HDD,
at a shop that recently opened up close to where my Step-Son works, he was a
little late finishing work this afternoon, so while I waited for him, I took a
quick gander around the new emporium ...

Could put all of the above on there, and have plenty space, left, for storing
music files ...

Here, I have a 2 gig. account, and a 1 gig. account, all downloads and uploads
are counted towards these "caps", so I try and have things work out that the 2
gig. account gets used up, around the 18th-20ty of the month, until them the
kids have reasonably open access to the internet, but once I switch over to
the "reserve" account, their internet access is severely limited ...

Have a small 600VA UPS here, I want to plug the ADSL modem, POTS modem and my
EeePc into for we still have regular - irregular power cuts here ... , should
keep those running for awhile ... , at least.

Thanks,

Russell
