If that isn't sufficient any further useful information will have to wait until
after I am finished my current upgrade on which I am planning to put more
hardware troubleshooting apps on.  At the moment I only have the usual suspects
while work is being done on the needed good stuff.

So far the best sata interface is the SiI 3124, although the SiL 3132 gave a
faster initial response time but had less ports, but I only use it for hot
swapping drives and never boot to them.  What for?

At the moment nothing on the JMicron.  Again, what for?  I did test the ide
compact flash interface on there and it works.  Turns out it wants atapi which
is probably why it had issues on certain bios's.  I still have those btw if it
turns out I return to that mode of operations which I might on the Atom.  First
I need to get the USB wireless to the neighbour resolved and then upgrade to
the new Atom optimized system as well as physically move it to my so-called
desk where it'll become my first pure DC workstation.  Might even do a wireless
BBS except no zmodem.  ;-)

I figure before the end of April.
