Curly brackets quite familiar from C and I often find it interesting how well
enmeshed posix standard *nix and C are.

Interesting shortcut.

Oh I still have my home directories /mnt/hd*/home/user

I just don't often, or ever, see the need for mounting multiple partitions
except as backup or file storage.

I've often heard mounting var independently as it stores logs is a good
idea but at 32 percent partition usage I'm not really stressed for space.

Closer to 62 percent on the second physical drive and its 3rd is just storage.
