If you just plug it in it won't do anything (format) unless you "accidently"
type in the right format command, which is highly unlikely.  Just plug it in
and type in "dmesg" and it should show up as the last entry something like
this;

The first one (sda) is a compactflash on a usb card reader and the second (sdb)
a usb flash disk.  I did format those to ext2 which does render them useless to
Windows and other useless devices (to me) but that was done intentionally.  A
factory formatted one will look a tad different but still
mountable/read/writable without formatting or even fdisking and will work fine
with digital cameras and the such, even Windows.  From my understanding you
shouldn't format them using Windows as that supposedly wrecks them for
everything.  Linux can fix them afterwards though.  :-)

Actually that is wrong.  I should have written multiapplication core. 
Basically it is directfb's answer to console switching except in a graphical
enviroment instead of a text based one like the normal Linux console world.

What's wrong with the above type of test?  I suppose a ncurses display with the
desired output could be written but to be honest I don't mind usig things like
"dmesg" to see what is going on.  If modules are used then disabling them is
simple using "rmmod" if needed.

What would you like to see happen?
