I wasn't looking to switch distros,  just to figure out which of those two
choices (on the HP site) would be a better one for me to download to get that
software out...

Hoping they didn't get too distro-specific in the code,  there.

I also found,  with a bit of research,  that you can simply telnet to that
device and get a certain amount of stuff done.  Like changing the IP address, 
or using DHCP,  or whatever.
