Now that IBM has sold OS/2 I heard all that stuff isn't being supported without
doing the upgrades and fixpacks, which are now part of a commercial site.  I
doubt they would be that willing to upgrade my version.  Not only that but Warp
3 won't even install on the machines I have here due to bios problems, mostly
large HDs on the 486's which only seem to work with Linux.  DOS won't run on
any of them other then through dosemu, which also doesn't work since I am out
of step with the dosemu crowd, glibc and kernel headers being the big factors. 
Those guys are way too far behind (OS/2 included).  I refuse to jusmp through
those hoops only to get back to where I was over a decade ago no matter how
good it was back then.  Too many things have changed for that to work
effectively and efficiently.

Yes but even freedom as it pertains to opensource is less costier then going
the more customary commercial development route.  Licenses for a commercial
compiler often run around $5000USD per user.

True but sometimes there is information even sometimes when there was no
information intended.  In English it is called 'reading between the lines'.
