You _know_ the thread is about home users yet you present
arguments that only apply in a corporate environment?

Your admission that "basic support and recovery functions"
require use of the CLI happens to agree with what I have said
about limitations if CLI is _not_ used.

That isn't even close to what I said. I copied a warning from
Linspire's own website that installing Debian binaries could
trash the installed OS and would render CNR inoperative. I said
_nothing_ about use of the CLI at that time. 

Now tell me that Linspire doesn't know what they are talking
about when they refer to adding software to a Linspire install.

The person who was encouraging others to grab Debian binaries
suddenly decided to remove his Linspire install after 3 days
time. What a coincidence.
