Aparently they are, they are also 5-6 times more expensive than IBM-compatable 
PC hardware ...

Yeah, well, photographs, at that level are very visual items ... :-))

But yes, once reduced to display size, an 8M Matrox works just dandy ... <BG>

for the same price ... :-(((
