fortran programmers being in the forefront of the lacking art understanding
skills?  I recall getting totally frustrated with engineering types who
demanded exactly what they asked for even if what you gave them was better and
more adaptable.  Anyhow it doesn't really matter but on past experience I would
avoid goto's if I could prove to myself that a function call had more potential
which 99.9% of the time it usually did.  I usually don't care much for
programming in any language if the idea is to limit it to a narrow range of
uses since scripting can easily fill that role, and argueably do it better
since a script is more readily editable and thus more flexible by default.  I
used to like apps like Matlab for that very reason but that was before they
discovered java, etc. :::shudder:::

Errrrrr ... why this?  Perhaps just;
    cat > $TARGET/etc/fstab << EOF
and if $TARGET isn't set then the above automagically would be /etc/fstab and
then it would cover every situation without requiring the if.  Just a thought.

Right.  I am still trying to get to that stage but am not 100% happy with
things as they are today.  Getting closer to 100% happiness though.

Okay.  So far I figure a 64M disk is ample for things as they are today.

I don't browse enough to really have to worry about it.  lynx and/or links is
far more then I require for browsing ... GUI or no GUI.  The web has yet to
impress or be useful enough to concern oneself with all that bloat for useless
drivel.  ;-)
