No.  The problem is that it adds a few extra fields which causes tossers
expecting a set number of fields to toss SBBS messages either to a bad area or
the bit bucket depending on how the sysop decides to handle that case.  The one
particular sysop I talked to about this particular problem decided to drop out
rather then alter his software that he put very much thankless work into.  I
guess he decided Fido wasn't worth it.  I don't blame him one little bit.

Speaking for myself, I'd just as soon strip all unneeded kludges out and leave
the rest of you(s) to wallow in your own silliness.  Also that allows me to do
proper text messaging since handheld devices don't require kludges to hold up
their end of the bargain.  Any required kludges can always be tacked on by the
node to facillitate any silliness required upstream.  Seems to me to be the
best way to handle this issue.

I guess you don't get around or nobody tells you anything.  I've seen all sorts
of problems caused by SBBS, as well as a few others but SBBS causing the most
problems, BBBS being the second worse (not catching dupes).

Because the programmer coded it to handle them as originally advertised.  Now
they're stuck with it seeing they probably don't want the hassel of redoing
everything everytime someone else decides to "improve" it.
