Just one question about getting the pictures from the camera.

Does your camera connect to a computer by USB cable?  If so, does it 
show up as a MSD device?

If it does or is a Nikon then you can use Cameraderie v1.5 on your 
OS/2-eCS machine to transfer them.  Both my Nikon D60 and Fuji S602Z 
are quite happy with that program.  The only time I have had to plug a
card into the card reader was when I needed to recover a couple of 
accidentally deleted pictures using DFSee.
