Actually the SMBus is another bus, used for things like the temperature 
monitor on the motherboard. You're probably right about sharing the IRQ 
not mattering but I'm far from being a hardware guru.
The USB OpenHCI Controller also shares INT #B (PCI actually only has 4 
IRQs on one level).
You could temporarily try disabling USB in BIOS or remming out the 
driver and test.

I've seen that message on most of my motherboards. Also not sure what it 
means but it usually seems harmless.

It depends on the BIOS. You might be able to manipulate it in the BIOS 
by setting various IRQs to legacy. If it was a PCI card then you could 
move it to a different slot.
