Why fix something that ain't broke?  If your current system runs fine there's
no reason to change it.

After all, this box is a PS/2 9595 (486/66, 64 MB RAM) running OS/2 4.0
(no fixpacks).  And it's working just fine.  I have a P100 downstairs running
OS/2 4.52 just fine (although the readme says 100MHz isn't fast enough), a
P350 running eCS 1.2R (a 'play' machine, nothing of significance on it yet)
and another P350 running Red Hat 8.0 ('nother 'play' machine).

Other 'play' machines include PS/2s with OS/2 2.1 and 3.0, Mandrake 6, Red
Hat 7.0 and a P300 OS/2 4.52 box with Innotek's VM software installed with
W95 and W98.  Oh yeah, there's an old Gateway that has W98 (ugh!) installed.
If I really want to get serious I can install my really big box and configure
it
with 255 separate SuSe and/or Debian logical machines (it's a perfectly
functional
IBM S/390 and I have the software for it) - hmmm, I wonder if I can get IBM to
port OS/2 to it ...
