Don't ask me "why". It is simply my experience. cable select won't work, clean
setup master/slave works well.

O.k., I use always my network to exchange data from/to a windows system. And
that truly very rare because I boot up windows only about one or two times/year
and then commonly only for maintenance or some short experiments. My whole
business is based on eComStation, so the need to use windows is void.

No chance on AMD64 anyway. For that you needs eCS 1.2R.
