Does "printshare" stand for the share name of the printer in question?

Redirecting a local color postscript printer driver through ghostscript is a
method to create a free PDF creator with the ability to set encryption levels,
document properties and security, etc. Features that aren't usually available
on the free versions of PDF printer drivers, but you have to use a special
(free) program to accomplish the redirection.  I think the redirector program
is called "Redmon" or something like that.  I wasn't sure if some special
program was needed for the printer redirection you were discussing.

I haven't tried the Redmon redirection stuff yet, but I might soon.  I've been
using the cutepdfwriter printer driver that is free, and have found that I can
get the free version to set the document properties and security to what I want
by editing its settings file that is used to input settings to the printer
driver at the beginning of each print job.  I need my PDF files to be
non-editable with selection and copy text from the PDF all turned off.  I've
recently experienced that the printer driver for cutepdfwriter didn't properly
handle MS Word footers set with "Page X of Y" as the footer, so I might give
setting up a redirected postscript printer driver that's based on a different
postscript driver than the one cutepdfwriter is based upon to see if that fixes
the page footer thing.
