Ärende: Re: AT&T says they can't provide DSL?!?!?
=================================================
From: "Glenn Meadows" <gmeadow@comcast.net>

Another point, if you NEED the broadband to do your work from home, for you
employer, you might ask them to allow you to expense that portion of the cable
bill.

Most cable services will allow you to have the most basic of service (typically
not advertised, you have to ask for it), it has very few extra channels, other
than the basic duplication of the broadcast, and none extra. Here in Nashville,
if you ASK, you can get minimum cable for
$12-14.00/month, then you can add HS Internet to that, so you don't have to
get the Expanded Basic, or even "Basic" cable. Basic has no need for a cable
box, as all you're getting are the unscrambled channels that allow you to plug
your TV into the wire, and see all you're paying for.
