Comcast's service was the absolute slowest thing. When I had them, I had a 3mb
service, and when I went back to STL from Knoxville a couple of times, my 1mb
DSL line was faster.

Here in Atlanta, I have decided I will still remain a DSL customer simply
because of the Comcast policy of advertising their service as being so much
faster- advertising their 6mb service against BellSouth's lowest tier DSL of
256k DSL Lite, even though for the same price as Comcast, I can get 6mb DSL
from BellSouth.

I couldn't complain about their technical help when I had Comcast- they seemed
to meet the need- but overall, the best recommendation I can give for Comcast
is "at least they're not Charter."

DSL remains the preference for me. I've had more downtime with cable service
than with DSL. Oh- and I am ALWAYS downloading- I had 6 CDs yesterday alone-
and never a word about bandwidth from BellSouth.
