Exactly, that doesn't make sense -- that's WAY to simple a model to say
anything about atmosphere, remember there's sunlight component and a heat
radiation into space component.  the CO2 allows for less radiation, that's the
problem, not that the CO2 physically makes a difference in how much heat is in
the atmosphere.  Think of how much warmer a real greenhouse is compared to
outside the greenhouse...

There's various things that can cause a CO2 drop, one being plants, others are
diatoms (can be included in plants I guess), and then there's absorption in
things like water. (water absorption makes for more acidic water btw, which is
not that great).  I expect there are other ways too...

Very true, CO2 comes from other sources than just us!  We're adding to that
natural production though...  Also remember that there are other greenhouse
gases than CO2, and some are quite a bit more efficient at it than CO2 -- one
being methane.

I did answer that question, it is natural sources *and* manmade.  We never had
the manmade sources before and, that's what could be the straw that broke the
camels back.

I don't think so, all melting does is erase layers, the layers that are there
had to have precipitated out of the air at some time and will have the proper
markers.  Now if it leaches these markers out at a lower temp than what melts
ice, I suppose it could have some effect, but I really don't know enough about
that.

Now, if you can't answer that question, then how do you know what the cause of
