Yes - It's more secure.  The point is that if Apple felt it inappropriate just
don't offer it. Yet Apple does and they should fix it's problems instead of
offering the excuse that it's not recent

Well  from  my experience Apple is the only manufacturer that implemented a
half-baked WEP implementation. Apple can argue standards all they wish but if
everything else I've used - from small handhelds ( DS, PSP ),  non Apple
notebooks, usb wireless adapters, Wii,  can get it right. I'd suggest Apple
look at how the rest of the world ( Blasphemy  -  I know ) applies similar
standards.

  After I switched the routers from WEP to wpa I no longer get the Macbook
wireless network loss after a long ( over night ) sleep
