What I really dislike about finder is that if you wish it to remember your view
settings on network shares it will litter every subdirectory on the share with
DS_Store files. Yeah I know how to turn it off

'defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true'

 but then the silly Finder can't remember my view settings

Apple is totally revamping Finder for 10.5 so maybe some of it's suckiness will
be gone
