Hrumph....maybe use Task Manager and set the processor affinity?
Change the name of the executable (add a number as the last character = before
the ".", if the program will run that way). Then when it pops up = in the
taskmanager, lock it to a processor, and start the next instance = from a
different folder, and lock it to the other processor.
With the Seti Text client, it did have a switch I believe to specify the =
processor by number. I had to create a separate directory for each = instance
of Seti (8) and then had separate Tasks that would auto start = the processes
on a schedule. I shut them down during the nightly backup = of the server, and
restarted them in the morning. Worked quite well, = actually (remember my
runup in the rankings, that was when I had all the = machines going).

Glenn,
From their FAQs:
I have a multiprocessor system, but the agent seems to only be using =
one processor.
Currently we don't have software which takes significant advantage of =
multiple processors. We are considering this for the future projects.=20

I'll look into it on Monday, and see if I can get a "flotilla" of =
machines going.
As soon as someone figures out how to get SMP machines going, I'll =
sic my 8 CPU Dell server on it, as in about 3 weeks, there will be no =
accounting being done on it, and I can devote 24/7 of all 8 550 PIII = Xeons to
working.

I have once again started using my spare CPU cycles for the common =
good!
While I have given up on the idea of winning a date with Jodie =
Foster at SETI@home, I decided there are other projects worth my spare =
cycles. Currently I have a couple of systems crunching on the World = Community
Grid Human Proteome Folding project IBM. A team, Team = Barktopus, that I
created when United Devices first started up, includes = this project. So if
might be interested in donating CPU cycles to a = seemingly worthwhile project,
signup at=20
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/index.html
(you have to do this even if you signed up at United Devices)
And then if you care to you can join Team Barktopus by hitting the =
"My Team" link.
This won't be like Canopus@SETI. I won't be giving running =
updates, rankings, etc. The WCG site provides some pretty good stats on = its
own.
