Glenn,
That is odd! Both my Home Theater PC and my deskside use ATI 8500 series =
cards, and I have not had a lick of trouble with them "falling over" = once all
the software is successfully installed.

My All-In-Wonder still "falls over" every day or two, causing a =
reboot. When the "send info" to MS comes up, and I send it, the report = is
it's a problem in the Video Driver, check with your vendor. The last = ATI
updates I did for this killed the TV capability, got error message = when
trying to start the TV application. Had to revert to the prior = version.
I think it's like all the ATI drivers over the years, you just pick =
which battles to fight, because the drivers at many times are less than =
optimal, and as long as the complaint level is low, they just plod = forward.
At least that's how I see it.

Glenn,
This is where ATI's install software falls flat on its face. I have =
done fresh installs and Guide+ doesn't show up. I have done updates and = it is
blown away. It is FM (frickin' magic). ATI has had its drivers = pretty solid
for a long time, but the installs of its All-In-Wonder = stuff suck.

Don't you trigger the Guide Plus from in the setup section? Isn't =
there a=20
spot where you have it scan? I haven't looked recently, but I =
think it's in=20
one of the setup notebooks.
