Don,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the link to = http://www.pckeyboard.com!!!
I just ordered 3 101 IBM style keyboards in = a more stylish black and grey My
supply of this style keyboard was dying = off and I was beginning to wonder
what I was going to do.

I'm good for another decade as long as PS/2 ports are still available =
;->

I use one often, on various OSes. The trackpoint is electrically =
identical
to a standard PS/2 interface mouse. Granted, the keyboard I use =
doesn't have
a touchpad. I haven't tried one with a touchpad as well, but I doubt =
it
  would be electrically different.

  You can see one here:
  http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~duelist/m4-1/

The picture doesn't do it justice, it's quite small and light but =
feels
solid. Apparently the mechanism is that developed for the IBM L40 =
laptop. It
has better travel and a more solid feel than modern laptop keyboards. =
It's
ideal as a portable keyboard for service work.

  You can buy one here:
  http://www.pckeyboard.com

While you're at this site, take a look around. You can get just about =
any
combination you want. I particularly like their "on the ball" =
keyboard, I
used one many years ago and found the trackball quite ergonomic to =
use. Hold
your right hand out as though you are about to shake hands with =
someone,
then relax your fingers so that they curl naturally. Then let your =
hand drop
and curve around the top right corner of the keyboard. Your thumb will =
sit
perfectly on the trackball and your first two fingers will sit over =
the two
mouse buttons on the top edge of the keyboard (out of sight in the =
picture
on the website). If you suffer from RSI / OOS / carpal tunnel =
syndrome, one
of these trackball keyboards combined with the "clicky" key mechanism =
is
  exactly what the doctor ordered.

It's ironic that people who are too smart to engage in politics
are governed by people who are not as smart.
