Ellen,

Most certainly! Its their ultimate act of self-sacrifice in worst case =
scenarios. I had a power surge go through house a couple of years ago = that
toasted every surge protector in the house. The good ones did there = job and
protected the equipment behind them, the not so good ones didn't = and the bad
one damn near set the place on fire!

Can a surge protector get fried? Sorta like the bodyguard getting
killed when he throws himself across the body of the person he's
guarding? I've been wondering this the whole time actually.
