You really must be an idiot. Why is it a problem that carriers =
choose what they offer and end users choose what they buy? To the = extent you
believe this is a problem, why isn't it a problem for = everyone?
Your belief that folks will switch from laptops to smartphones is =
really based on your claim that executives can't easily take notes with = a
laptop on the underground. That's it? Nothing about display size, = keyboard,
mouse? Your second point that if a smartphone is ever useful = than that is
enough. Silly.
I have both a smartphone and a laptop. I use them both at different =
times. What about you?

ROFL. Ah dear me tetchy tetchy tetchy. Rich you should learn to follow =
the "first engage brain then mouth" rule.
The problem MS have with smnartphones is not technical, it's the fact=20
that they are at the mercy of the network operators & what they choose =
to offer.
If vodafone decide to offer five models of Nokia smartphone & one =
Pocket=20
PC then that's vodafone's choice.

Of course you will as you have little clue about market realities.

Feel free to hop on one leg singing "I'm a little teapot" but remember =

I am honoured. Oh how I shall recount this to my grandchildren.

I'm sure you do as frankly if laptop users turn into smartphone users=20
your company is shafted.

Such as?
Bluetooth? Wifi? Web browser? Excel? Word? USB?

Most execs use their laptop for a limited set of tasks. I know of a=20
number including tech proj managers, a personnel type & a couple of=20
others (one v. senior) who have done exactly that. The key difference =
is=20
that they always have their "laptop" with them.
In the pub, thin of something, reach in paocket & take note/contact=20
someone, on train...etc.etc.etc.
Try making notes with a laptop on the underground & then try with a=20
smartphone.
It's so lovely to see a MS person arguing in favour of the big =
machines.
