I referred you and everyone else to the actual license. Have you =
read it?

If you want an example of a license with rigid control issues, look =
at the GPL. It's a great example of what you call "take it or leave = it."
The folks complaining do not have issues with control or else they = would all
rail against the GPL though hypocrisy is not uncommon here.

  There you go again.
I'm trying to gain an understanding of the issue, and gave you the
opportunity to confirm that we're starting from a common =
understanding. You
appear to have chosen not to do so, so that you can claim later that I
misunderstood your point of view. (As you do...) All right then, it's =
on
  record so let's move on.

Royalty-free is not the issue. The Open Source community have good =
lawyers
too, and they are not happy with the "control" terms. I might accept =
them if
  I ran a business, but I certainly wouldn't if I were a government or a
community committee. Microsoft are currently saying "take it or leave =
it",
and in my opinion have deliberately presented the IETF and FOSS with
Hobson's Choice. Personally, I think it'll be resolved by the =
community
coming up with a non-infringing alternative.
