Ärende: Re: Everything You Need to Know About Next-gen Broadband
================================================================
From: "Gary Britt" <zotu@nospamforme.com>

I just saw a story that says IBM is teaming up with utilities to offer
broadband to homes over power lines. If this turns out to be true, then
finally broadband could begin to achieve the level of competition necessary to
drive down prices. The DSL versus Cable hasn't been quite enough to keep cable
from charging ridiculous prices in some areas. This could open up all kinds of
things. The power utilities could begin to offer programming content possibly
in addition to broadband, and again more competition for cable. Does this
sound as great for lower prices and better products to others as it does to
me??
