And I think you have an attitude about eeye based on the millions = they've
cost Microsoft.

It's not idol warship, it's respect.

You really have the wrong idea about eeye. They are in the =
protection racket. They publish information and put out press releases =
putting you and the public at risk then try to sell you and others = protection
from the danger they put you in. It should be obvious what = is wrong with
this. You know about them because of how irresponsible = and self-serving they
are, well that and george's misplaced idol = worship. I've found more issues
than they have and know others that = have as well. Their finds aren't even
that interesting and generally = have all the pizzazz of something found by an
automated tool.

Of course Microsoft would fix bugs. But when? With what =
priority?
Who would have told Microsoft that IIS and IE etc had a bunch of
vulnerabilities that needed patching, if it weren't for people =
like eeye?
And what's wrong with eeye making money from their work? Most =
people
(outside the KDE and Gnome camps) want standard software that =
works. That
means we have Microsoft as the giant developer, and a bunch of =
ants
picking up crumbs. Eeye is an ant feeding from the security bugs =
that it
manages to find. If it weren't so embarassing in the short term, =
they
should be paid a retainer by Microsoft.
