Don't let it get to you.  I know what you mean, but there is space-age 
medicine that helps.  Besides, we aren't very threatening. <g>  In fact, you 
will likely find plenty of support after folks get to know you.  Of course, 
there will be those who are perpetual pot stirrers, but they can just be 
ignored.
