Nobody.  Saddam happened to be in power, but it could just as easily have been
Ali Hassan the camel driver.  WHO didn't matter as long as they fought the
Iranians.

I've never seen any credible evidence, albeit lots of unsubstantiated claims,
that we gave them money or biomass.  THEY ordered samples of stuff from several
universities as I recall, but at that time we sent the stuff to almost any lab
for study.  Intel was the major commodity we provided Iraq with, and only
intel.

Just like the lies and BS about US torturing people at Gitmo, and flushing
Korans, etc.  We used to have somebody here who was constantly posting crap
about how Saddam bought all kinds of tanks and artillery and other military
hardware from the US, and that US troops were getting killed during the Gulf
War by this stuff.  Total bullshit, but he persisted in posting it anyway.  Its
all lies perpetrated by the left-wing types in this country and in Europe, and
by the enemy in the middle east.  I expect them to believe that crap, but
you're supposed to be educated and smarter than that.
