They are tickled pink that American technology is right on the cutting edge in
many fields, medicine being one of them. Then, they are shocked into fits of
oratory against the medical profession making money, when they find out that
the guy who picks their onions and oranges for a living can't be a patient of
the top heart surgeons in the country, but Hollywood glitterati can!


Yet, if one of them needed a heart surgeon, and it was a choice between the
surgeon the peon gets, and the best one, they go to the best without seeing
their own feet of clay.

Making profits is an alien concept to them. If a politician comes from modest
or poor circumstances, or is born into vast fortunes, either way they get
elected to an  office and have found a permanent free ride. It isn't long
before they are deploring anyone who dares to make capitolism work well for
themselves. Bill Gates took a lot of heat over the years.

They talk a good angle up there with their nationalized health system. But
when it falls apart for some of them, the border is handy, and American
doctors are available right across the Peace Bridge.

Isn't Wilson the one who `used' to be an American and moved to Canada?
