Fitzgerald issued subpoenas in August of 2004.  Why did Libby choose not
to cooperate with Fitzgerald at that time?  Could it have had something
to do with the presidential election?  Just think what the outcome would
have been had Libby testified a year ago, before the presidential
election.  Bush would have been toast, with Kerry winning the election
in a landslide.  Now that Libby has testified, and been indicted, Bush
has chosen to nominate an activist judge and right-wing wingnut to the
U.S. Supreme Court, in an effort to divert attention away from the Libby
indictment.  Do you think Libby will cooperate with Fitzgerald, not that
Libby is facing up to 30 years in prison?  Not if Libby knows that Bush
will grant him an unconditional presidential pardon upon leaving office.
Do you think Bush will make a statement to the effect saying that he
will not grant Libby a presidential pardon?  You see, John, it's a game.
Libby will not spend one day in jail for what he did.  Nor will Rove.
Nor will Cheney.  Even if all of them are guilty as sin.  Naturally,
Libby will not cooperate with Fitzgerald, even though Libby is facing up
to 30 years in prison.  Unless, of course, Libby knows that Bush will
not bail his butt out.  And everybody knows that Bush is loyal to the
lackeys who have been loyal to him.

So why didn't Libby testify when he was originally subpoenaed, in August
of 2004?

Had Libby testified a year ago, Kerry would have defeated Bush
in a landslide.  Libby knew that.  And so did Bush.

Bush discredited his own self years ago, with his fallacious argument
about Iraq having "stockpiles of WMD".

Don't sweat it.  Libby will not spend a single day in jail.  Bush will
grant Libby an unconditional presidential pardon upon leaving office.
