    You quoted his _opinion_ because you agree with him.  That is 
understandable and obviously your right … but you are dead wrong in your 
description of conservatives.  We all know there are a few conservatives with 
the above described beliefs but they are few and far between in the Republican
Party.  Unlike the Democrat party, conservatives preaching their _extreme_
beliefs are not running the Republican party. ;-)

    If you were there at that time or honestly studied the subject, you would 
know the slaves were not citizens, could not read and had no idea who ran for 
what office.  In this period of time, your liberal party (compliments of
Hillary) 
wants to give convicted felon criminals the right to vote!  Their reason is 
obvious to me.  Crooks defend fellow crooks!  Democrats would get 90 some 
percent of their votes! ;-)

    Yes, most humans change their path once they grow up! ;-)  Just remember, 
most Conservatives vote for what is right for the country whereas most 
Liberals vote for what is right for themselves!

    FDR did a lot of good for the country.  He also did a lot of bad for the 
country.  The one that me the most is when he (our Government) paid 
thousands of unemployed people to dig a big hole and then cover it back up.  
That is not a figure of speech.  He should have dreamed up something 
constructive for them to do rather than a total waste!
