Yes the Republicans have a wide tent as they say but that is not the 
same as having a broad consensus. This country is more evenly divided 
than at anytime I can remember.

I know that John but that's a loophole in the regs. It is assumed that 
American troops, especially officers are honorable men and for the most 
part they are. The exceptions to that rule are low-life metal hunters 
like JFK. You probably knew men like that.

Well I agree, now we are down to what is wound. In some people's mind no 
stitches and no loss of time from command = no wound serious enough to 
warrant a PH.
Others think a hangnail, if received in country is enough. Good news is 
most people think like we do on this.

Then change the law to stop money from outside the country or from non 
citizens. To tell Americans that they can not join together and spend 
money they earned to express their political views is just flat out 
wrong, no matter what reason is given.

GWB took an oath to protect the Constitution. Calling for an end to the 
527's is not protecting the Constitution

GWB is on the wrong side of this issue.
