I shut down my system in November of 1993 because I was in the process of
moving (closed on the new place - a 2 acre farmlet about 4 miles from the 
nearest town - in September of '03 and finally finished moving in March of '05,
got rid of the old house in May of '05).

Not quite dead.  Came about as close to a heart attack as one can without
actually
having one the end of February, 2004.  99% blockage in one coronary artery,
fixed
with an angioplasty and stent on March 1, 2004.  $49K and change.

I got bored and set up the BBS again beginning in November of last year, it's
been
up and running since early December.  Due to problems with the feed I've been
read-only until a couple of days ago.

Unemployed since last September (the company didn't quite go under but it did
lay
off about 80 percent of the staff), living off my IRA.  I'll be 62 in December
and
can get SS just about the time the IRA runs dry.  The military retirement check
makes the house payment and the health & life insurance payments with about
$30/month left over (until they double the health insurance premiums, which is
something that Rumsfeld wants to do).

The dogs had a litter of pups (9 live, 3 born dead) on May 3, 2005.  Still have
7 of the pups and the father (the mother died after I had her spayed and she
chewed out the stitches the night after the surgery).  Lab mixes, all but one
are
black with white markings; the one is a beautiful light brown with dark
markings
on his face and tail.  The runt of the litter now weighs about 65 pounds and
the
biggest (which is the brown one) weighed 85 pounds two months ago and on his
hind legs his head reaches almost to my shoulder, he can put his chin on the
top
rail of a chain link fence that's slightly over four feet high.  All except the
brown
one have been neutered, one litter was enough.
