It was just recently declassified so he could talk about it. I believe I saw
him on the Discovery Times Channel, but am not certain as I was wrapped up in
it big time and did not pay any attention to the channel.

A whole slew of well known people were on the show backing up his account.

His mission signaled the end of the CIA sending in as they called it "a man
with a baseball bat" to find out who was responsible so they could be tracked
down and killed or arrested.

He was told his reports, which were to be sent out of Lebanon via diplomatic
pouches, were to be delivered directly to Reagan's desk.

Its an amazing story. He was apparently an operator with a well known
reputation in black ops and from what I saw, a real hero who was treated
terribly by the CIA and the Reagan administration.

Without doing a blow-by-blow, he contacted the Lebanese government and police
who did cooperate with him. In fact, when they went out and arrested people in
very short order, they arrested only people he found out, that had been
involved! The government and police knew who were involved on one level all
along.

They got one he immediately knew was a well trained terrorist and finally got
to break. That terrorist revealed something stunning. Someone he said was
integrally involved, was a Christian militia person of importance. In fact he
was told that person could not be arrested. He applied pressure and the
Leabonese went out for him. Very shortly after that his partner and himself had
people attempt to assassinate them in their rooms. They stayed the rest of
their time there, living on roofs at night.

The Christian Militia big shot was rounded up and he got him to break and found
that our allies, the Christian militia were heavily involved in the US Marine
bombing, along with Muslim terrorists and even the Leabonese government!

He felt the information to be so important he returned home to deliver the
intel himself. Before leaving he told the Leabonese police to protect the
Christian militia big shot as his days were numbered.

When he got back he was arrested for the murder of the Christian Militia big
shot. He found out none of his reports made it to Reagan, but had stopped
somewhere in the administration.

Basically, they did not want the public embarrassment for the CIA and
administration that our "allies" delivered a sucker-punch to us that cost the
lives of hundreds of Marines. Thus there was no strike back at them.

He was ruined and humiliated and has lived a tough life since.

The CIA has never sent a man into areas like that since and as a result, we
have no operators like that anymore to do the on-the-spot humint.
