Big deal.  I bought a couple of the medals to replace some that were lost in a
cross country move.  Got 'em at 7 Seas in downtown San Diego years ago.  So
what?  That isn't the issue, and never was.

You don't get it, do you, Sakowski?  It isn't the procedure used to approve and
award medals that is in question here, and you damn well know it.  What IS in
question is whether or not Kerry is actually entitled to them; and whether or
not the reports filed to GET those medals were fraudulent or not.  A very large
number of people who were there say they were obtained under false pretenses,
that Kerry didn't actually do what he put down in those reports as having done.

I don't know about you, but I've got more personal honor and self-respect than
to put in for a medal of valor that I didn't really earn, and nothing but
contempt and scorn for ANY cheap shit son-of-a-bitch who does.

I will also remind you that none of the above addresses the questions about his
discharge and why he didn't get it until nearly 30 years after the fact.
