Between then and now (the 80s and early 90s) there was a bad problem with
gangs. I don't know where the gangs went but they're mostly gone from the south
bay. I wonder if they've moved out Tim's way?

There's a kind of "magic" (for lack of a better word) to San Francisco, but
I'll take San Diego over it any day of the week.
