Why not?  The Minutemen patrolling in Arizona caused a major drop in illegal
crossings, and they didn't have a fence or any high tech gear to help them. 
Congress already authorized a fence, or perhaps you forgot about that.

I'm not bigotted.  I don't give a damn who it is or why they want to come here.
 If they can't do it legally, they're no better than a sneak thief burglar and
deserve the same kind of response.

I can't believe the moronic posture some people take on illegals.  You can't
keep allowing people to come in without restrictions.  We don't have the
resources to handle it.  I don't give a damn who they are or where they come
from.  The bus is full.  Every seat is taken and the standing room is filled. 
They missed the bus, too bad for them.
