Every generation in my family has had at least one member serving since the
revolutionary war. I had brothers in 'Nam, my dad served in WWII, great uncle
in WWI, etc. I didn't, personally serve the nation, but when my husband retired
after 22 years in the Navy I got a thank you letter from the Secretary of the
Navy for supporting him during his service.
