I'm not.  I'm simply trying to get you to deal with reality.  Vern is too.

Have you?  Then why don't you say so?  I have 15 years of experience in such
matches, and I shot with and against some of the best pistol shooters in the
world, and held my own.  Even set some course records on a couple of
occassions.  I know what I'm talking about, whether you believe it or not.

Does three rounds at 25 feet in 2/3 of a second that fit under a playing card
spin anything for you?  I can do it every time.  I can also hit three targets
at 25 feet spaced ten feet apart in the same amount of time 8 out of 10 times.
The other two, I need a 4th shot that pushes the time to just under a second.

Now, since I haven't been shooting regular lately, it might take me a half
second longer, but you still don't want to be in my sights, no matter what.

Big deal, you still have to close to arm's length to use it.

Right, now you're some kind of ninja ghost.  Gotcha.  Like Vern said, the real
experts at hand to hand combat would laugh at the idea of thinking you can get
over on a trained shooter.  As for hiding your intentions, well, you know what
I think of that.  If you sneak up on somebody and take them out from ambush,
you really aren't using your hand to hand, now are you?  A real professional
would eliminate you in such a way that you never got a chance to fight back or
sound an alarm, and would probably do it from cover with a silenced sub-sonic
.22 or 9mm.
