Here is where your lack of knowledge of how the American 
newsmedia act is critical.  There's no need to read foreign news 
sources for anti-American news.  The New York Times is *anxious* 
to print anything bad about America, and many papers will then 
follow the NYT's lead.  That's the way it works.  (BTW, other 
papers follow the NYT's lead because many years ago the NYT was a 
very reliable, highly-respected news source.  Through the years, 
however, the NYT has shown a stronger and stronger left-wing bias.)

Let's say, for example, that Marine *had* mercilessly and 
needlessly killed that insurgent.  The NYT would have found out 
about it and would have plastered it on the front page just as it 
has posted *many* articles about the prison scandal in Iraq.  If 
your mystery plane actually existed it would be featured in the 
NYT you can be certain of that.
